Setup Microsoft Authenticator App

Introduction

The purpose of the Microsoft Authenticator App is to provide an additional layer of security on your account, like a second lock on the door. When you are logging in from a device that Microsoft doesn't recognize, you may be asked through the App to confirm your login.

Microsoft Authenticator is only for your mobile device.

Install the app

The app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

Sign in to the app

Follow the prompts to sign into the app using your Microsoft username and password.

If you get stuck

You can ask to have MFA reset on your account. This will allow you to re-start the setup process.
