Whiteboards

Overview

MS Whiteboard is a collaboration tool that provides a freeform canvas upon which multiple can collaborate in real-time.

TIP

Whiteboards live on the web and not as files in the traditional sense.

They cannot be attached to emails or copied to the server.

WARNING

MS Whiteboard is a tool primarily aimed at internal and in-meeting collaboration.

Whiteboards cannot be shared outside the organization.

Adding a Guest or External User to the team does not help. The only time outside users can view and collaborate on whiteboards is within the context of a Teams meeting or one-on-one call. The LGA user can then initiate sharing the whiteboard with the meeting participant(s).

Exporting / Sharing / Archiving

• Whiteboards can be exported to PDF or PNG format.

• Screenshots can be taken although these will be at a lower resolution than exported files. This may be fine for some purposes.
